The Iranian judiciary has announced that Erfan Soltani, a 26-year-old man arrested during protests, has not been sentenced to death, as reported by state media on Thursday.
Soltani is currently detained in Karaj's central penitentiary and faces charges of colluding against the country's internal security and engaging in propaganda activities against the regime.
Significantly, the judiciary clarified that these charges, even if confirmed by a court, do not carry a death penalty, alleviating concerns over his potential execution.
