By the time residents noticed the blaze and attempted to help, the fire had extensively damaged the wooden home. Among the deceased were members of two families who had gathered for a local festival.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and other political figures have expressed their condolences. Authorities have been directed to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure assistance reaches the bereaved families swiftly.
