Presiding over the case, Additional Sessions Judge Amit Sahrawat underscored the severity of the crime. The conviction falls under the rape charges and Section 6 of the POCSO Act, indicating aggravated penetrative sexual assault.
Special Public Prosecutor Aaditya Kumar emphasized the need for a stern sentence, arguing that the crime had gravely disturbed societal values. The court ordered the convict to serve life imprisonment for his natural life, along with awarding the victim a sum of Rs 10.5 lakh in compensation for the ongoing trauma she endures.
