Moscow: Western Troops in Ukraine Seen as Legitimate Targets

The Foreign Ministry specifically singled out Britain, accusing it of knowingly proposing an unacceptable scenario for Russia in draft peace proposals. The move was seen by Moscow as a tactic to sabotage the peace process.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized that any foreign military presence in Ukraine, including British troops, would be perceived as legitimate targets by the Russian military. Her comments underscore the heightened tensions surrounding peace negotiations.
