Illegal Shanties Demolished in Gurugram: A Crackdown on Crime

The Gurugram administration demolished around 100 illegal shanties in Sector 10 as part of a broader campaign against crime. These structures, behind Alpine School, were involved in contraband trade. Earlier, drug peddler Mahendra from Uttar Pradesh was arrested. Future demolitions are planned against illegal encroachments.

On Thursday, the Gurugram administration executed a large-scale demolition of approximately 100 shanties illegally constructed on government land in Sector 10.

In a continued effort against crime, the Gurugram Police identified these encroachments behind Alpine School as hubs of illicit contraband trade.

Authorities previously arrested Mahendra, a suspected drug peddler, which prompted further investigation and subsequent actions against illegal encroachments under police supervision.
