CBI Cracks Down: Bribery Scandal Unveiled in J&K

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made significant strides in curbing corruption by arresting two public servants in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. This development underscores the bureau's commitment to maintaining integrity within the governmental departments.
The accused, identified as a Patwari and a Chowkidar of the Revenue Department, were apprehended at Kokernag while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. This operation was executed after a complaint alleged that the officials demanded Rs 30,000 to demarcate land.
Following the complaint, the CBI acted swiftly by laying a trap to catch the perpetrators red-handed. Subsequent to their arrest, comprehensive investigations are underway to further probe the extent of the bribery scandal and ensure justice is served.
