A 30-year-old man was shot and injured in Jaipur's Brahmpuri area on Monday, police reported. The shooter, a history-sheeter identified as Ravi Mehra, is currently at large. The incident, sparked by personal enmity, took place near the Gangapol area under Brahmpuri police jurisdiction.
Rajesh Gautam, the Station House Officer, confirmed that the victim, Bablu Mehra, sustained a gunshot wound to his thigh and was promptly hospitalized, where he is being treated and remains in stable condition. Law enforcement has registered a case and organized teams to hunt down and apprehend the suspect.
Following the shooting, local residents congregated outside Subhash Chowk police station, voicing their outrage and demanding the arrest of the assailant. Forensic experts have been deployed to gather evidence from the crime scene as the investigation continues.
