In a disturbing incident in Bhubaneswar, the Odisha Police have detained a man accused of sexually assaulting his live-in partner. The alleged crime occurred in a rented property in the Buddhanagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of the Laxmisagar police station.

According to Bhubaneswar DCP Jagmohan Meena, the arrest was made after the 28-year-old victim filed a complaint. The accused was traced and apprehended in the Bada Bazaar area of Berhampur city, signaling prompt police action.

The suspect is set to be transported back to Bhubaneswar for court proceedings. In the meantime, the survivor has undergone a medical examination, and her statement has been recorded to aid in the ongoing investigation.
