Tragic End: Family Dispute Turns Fatal in Manjeshwar

An 18-year-old girl, Mariyam Jumaila, was killed by her father, Ummar Farooq, after a family dispute escalated in Manjeshwar. While intervening in a fight over property, she suffered fatal injuries. Farooq was taken into custody as police launch an investigation into the incident.

An 18-year-old girl, identified as Mariyam Jumaila, met a tragic fate after being hacked to death, allegedly by her father in Manjeshwar following a heated family dispute.

The incident occurred near Thumainad, where Ummar Farooq, recently returned from the Gulf, engaged in a quarrel with family members over property issues. In the course of this altercation, he reportedly attempted to attack another relative with a knife.

Jumaila, in a valiant effort to avert the attack, suffered severe injuries. Although she was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, she succumbed to her wounds. Manjeshwar police have taken Farooq into custody and have initiated an investigation to pursue the case further.
