Nicaragua Tightens Borders: Visa-Free Entry Canceled
Nicaragua has revoked visa-free entry for citizens of Venezuela, China, and 126 other nationalities. The decision also impacts Cuban citizens, putting an end to a policy that allowed them to transit through Nicaragua en route to the United States.
Nicaragua has revoked the visa-free entry privilege for Venezuelan, Chinese, and citizens from 126 other nations, according to a government announcement made on Friday.
In a related development on Monday, Nicaragua also put an end to visa-free entry for Cuban nationals. This revocation dismantles a policy that has in recent years enabled thousands of Cubans to traverse through the Central American country on their journey towards the United States.
The policy changes signify a tightening of Nicaragua's immigration controls, affecting various international travelers and complicating transit routes for certain nationals.
