In a tragic incident that unfolded in Noida's Sector 107, a young couple was discovered dead with gunshot wounds inside a parked car, police reported on Saturday. The vehicle was found near pillar number 84 on Dadri Road, under the jurisdiction of the Sector 39 police station.
Police were alerted early Saturday morning about the car with registration number DL14CL6473. Inside, a 32-year-old man and his 26-year-old girlfriend were found, each with a gunshot wound to the head. According to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Noida) Manisha Singh, a pistol was in the man's hand, and the car was locked from the inside, indicating a likely suicide scenario.
The victims have been identified as Sumit, from Trilokpuri, Delhi, and Rekha, from Sector 101, Noida. Senior police officials and a forensic team conducted a thorough examination of the scene. An inquest report has been prepared, and the bodies are undergoing post-mortem examinations to verify the cause of death. The bereaved families have been informed, and investigations continue.
