Violence Over Cattle Transport Sparks Tensions in Manjeswar

Two individuals from Uttar Pradesh were allegedly assaulted while transporting cattle in Manjeswar, resulting in the arrest of four suspects. Two men from Uttar Pradesh were reportedly attacked with iron rods and stones near Manjeswar while transporting cattle, according to police reports. The assault, which took place around 1:30 am, led to the arrest of four individuals, while two juveniles involved remain unidentified.

The confrontation began over a dispute about the unclear number plate of the vehicle carrying the cattle. This escalated to violence, with the assailants reportedly inebriated at the time. Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the arrested suspects.

Manjeswar MLA A K M Ashraf criticized the attack, suggesting it was a deliberate attempt to incite unrest. The victims, now hospitalized, stated they were attacked unjustly. Law enforcement managed to apprehend the suspects by evening from various locations.
