A powerful LPG cylinder explosion in Bassi left a mother and her son with severe burn injuries, causing panic and immediate action from neighbors. The blast, which occurred late Saturday night, was so intense that it blew out the kitchen doors and shattered windows, authorities reported.
The victims, Sunita and Indrajit Dogra, are currently receiving treatment at a local hospital for their injuries sustained during the explosion. Witnesses stated that the accident occurred while the family was cooking, and a new cylinder was being fitted, which leaked and subsequently exploded.
Hamirpur SP Balbir Singh Thakur confirmed that police have inspected the site and recorded statements from those involved. Initial investigations point to no criminal negligence, but the police continue to carry out necessary legal procedures.
