In a dramatic escape, two Pakistani nationals fled from a juvenile home in a border village, only to be caught within 24 hours, officials disclosed on Tuesday.
The escapees, along with a local gangster who remains at large, allegedly assaulted police personnel around 5 p.m. on Monday. Two officers sustained injuries in the melee.
The Pakistani fugitives were subsequently tracked to a village in Punjab's Ludhiana by a prompt police operation and were quickly taken into custody, the officials confirmed. Efforts continue to locate the third fugitive.
