CRPF Director General GP Singh announced that Naxalism is nearing its end and will be eradicated from India by March 2026, in line with Union Home Minister Amit Shah's promise. The announcement was made during the DG's Parade in Guwahati.
Decisive actions have been taken by the CRPF in joint operations with other security agencies against Naxalites over the past year. Singh highlighted that Naxalism is on the brink of elimination as the CRPF and its partners make strides towards the goal announced by Shah.
Singh also praised the CRPF's commendable work in Manipur, where the force has established itself as a neutral agency winning the people's trust. The DG's Parade was a prelude to the CRPF Anniversary Parade, set to be attended by Amit Shah on Saturday.
