On Friday, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the necessity of fostering a business-friendly environment for industries and citizens alike. During a review meeting of a national initiative, Abdullah highlighted the importance of simplifying procedures and reducing bureaucratic hurdles as part of his administration's governance philosophy.
The meeting detailed that the initial phase of the programme identified 23 priority reform areas, all of which have been completed. The second phase aims to extend reforms to 23 additional critical sectors such as healthcare, education, and tourism.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo showcased the ongoing reform progress, emphasizing the objective to significantly cut down on the number of permissions required for starting and managing businesses, ultimately benefiting the region's economic landscape.
