An altercation erupted in Manjeri tied to a derogatory comment on Manjeri MLA U A Latheef's Facebook page, allegedly involving the legislator's son, Ameer, and his friends. Authorities have initiated a case against Ameer, following a complaint by a local man, Latheef.
The incident, which reportedly involved a physical attack with a knife, took place on March 3 at around 9:45 pm outside a football turf in Mullampara. It is said to have resulted in injuries to two individuals.
According to police, no arrests have been made thus far. The investigation remains ongoing, with officers reviewing CCTV footage from the scene as part of their efforts to piece together the events as they transpired.
