The announcement was made during an International Women's Day event, highlighting the vital role women play in sustainable development. Singh emphasized the importance of women's participation in politics and community rebuilding efforts.

The budget is perceived as a step towards enhanced empowerment and opportunity creation for women. The Manipur Assembly session, discussing this budget, will begin Monday and conclude by March 17.
