The second half of the Budget session of Parliament is expected to commence tumultuously as the Lok Sabha addresses a resolution initiated by the opposition for the removal of Speaker Om Birla. Discussions will likely cover the ongoing conflict in West Asia, particularly as the government faces critique for its stance on Iran and India's oil trade with Russia amidst a US ''waiver''.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is slated to present a statement regarding the 'Situation in West Asia' in the Lok Sabha. The session is further complicated by the fallout from the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in West Bengal that resulted in the deletion of nearly 60 lakh votes, shadowing parliamentary proceedings.

Focus during this session will also be on discussing Demands for Grants for the ministries and passing the Finance Bill, 2026. In the backdrop of no-confidence motions against Speaker Birla and trade tensions, both BJP and Congress have directed their MPs to attend the session amidst anticipated opposition protests.
