In southwest Delhi's Uttam Nagar, a violent clash between two families during Holi celebrations has resulted in seven additional arrests, including three women and a minor, totaling 14 arrested. The dispute, initially sparked by a burst water balloon, escalated into a fatal confrontation.
Caught in the altercation was Tarun, a 26-year-old who sustained critical injuries and sadly succumbed at the hospital. The clash, which unfolded in the dense JJ Colony area, has raised tensions, prompting significant police and paramilitary presence to prevent further unrest.
Authorities have identified residents Sayra alias Kali, Sharifan, and Salma, along with Suhail alias Sahil, Sameer Chauhan, Firoj, and Ismile among the newly detained suspects. Efforts continue to locate others involved, as Deputy Commissioner (Dwarka) Kushal Pal Singh confirmed ongoing investigations.
