Shiv Pratap Shukla, the outgoing Governor of Himachal Pradesh, urged the state government to cultivate a robust work culture and capitalize on available opportunities to achieve self-reliance. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu acknowledged Shukla's valuable guidance on several fronts, including legislative matters, during his tenure.
Soon to assume his new role as the Governor of Telangana, Shukla expressed admiration for Himachal Pradesh, calling it a 'land of love' as well as a 'land of gods'. He emphasized the state's potential for growth and development, especially compared to its younger counterpart, Uttarakhand.
During his farewell, he received a warm send-off from political, social, and cultural entities, expressing gratitude for their support. Shukla also urged focused efforts to tackle issues like the drug menace and promote tourism while building on educational and youth engagement initiatives.
