In an unprecedented move to disrupt the narcotics supply chain, Delhi Police have detained Roshan Lal, a 44-year-old habitual drug trafficker, and transferred him to Chennai Central Prison, Puzhal. This strategic decision marks a first, as an individual apprehended in Delhi faces detention in Chennai to break local connections.

Officials apprehended Lal from Aman Vihar based on specific intelligence inputs on March 10. He faces multiple charges under the NDPS Act and excise-related crimes, with a history of involvement in drug trafficking since 2021. Previous arrests did little to deter his illegal activities.
