In a significant police operation, a 28-year-old man was detained for allegedly conducting illegal sales of LPG cylinders in Delhi's Jamia Nagar area. The arrest followed a routine patrol in which officers discovered the suspect, Shahnawaz, in possession of 62 LPG cylinders and a vehicle used for illicit distribution.

During the police interrogation, Shahnawaz reportedly confessed to selling LPG cylinders without authorization, alongside an accomplice named Mukesh. Authorities revealed that the cylinders were sourced from a gas agency in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, with subsequent illegal distribution in Delhi at inflated prices.

The arrest is part of a broader crackdown by Delhi Police, with multiple cases filed recently against unlawful LPG cylinder activities. This effort has resulted in the seizure of over 600 cylinders throughout the city, reflecting ongoing moves to dismantle the illegal market.
