Demolition Drive in Budaun after Double Murder Case

On Tuesday, government forces in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, executed a demolition campaign aimed at illegal structures linked with the recent murders of two HPCL officials. The victims, Assistant General Manager Harshit Mishra and General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta, were allegedly shot by Ajay Pratap Singh, a former vendor disgruntled over his termination.

Singh's dissatisfaction grew following his removal, prompting threats against Gupta. The administration's sweeping actions targeted encroachments by Singh and his uncle Rakesh Singh, demolishing 12 illegal roadside shops positioned on public land, as confirmed by Dataganj SDM Dharmendra Kumar Singh.

Additional revelations during investigations uncovered illegal electricity connections to Singh's family, prompting involvement from the electricity department. Future filings of FIRs are expected, illustrating ongoing consequences for Singh's alleged actions, as authorities continue their crackdown.
