Viral Video Leads to Arrest of Taxi Driver Using Fake Plates on Dwarka Expressway

The Delhi Police have detained a taxi driver who drove on the wrong side of the Dwarka Expressway and used a fake registration number, as per official reports on Thursday.
This arrest followed a police complaint after a viral video showed the taxi driver violating traffic rules and abusing another driver. The vehicle owner confirmed that his car was not involved and identified the driver, Ankit from Rohtak, Haryana, from the video.
Ankit confessed to using the fake plates due to an expired vehicle permit. The police seized the vehicle and continue to investigate, with charges now including Section 345(3) of the BNS.
