A harrowing incident unfolded at the Berchha field firing range near Mhow in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district, where a 19-year-old woman was allegedly raped by two men. According to authorities, this incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, prompting police action.
Officials have registered a case at the Badgonda police station based on the victim's testimony. The perpetrators, reportedly between 25 and 35 years old, remain at large with search operations actively underway. The area's dense forest terrain lacks CCTV surveillance, complicating efforts.
Indore Rural Superintendent of Police, Yangchen Dolkar Bhutia, assured that an extensive investigation is progressing. The police have explored escape routes and engaged informers to identify the assailants. The Berchha range, belonging to the Army, was not in active use at the time of the incident.
