Tragedy Strikes: Young Boy Perishes in Village Fire
A fire in a thatched hut in Nandrauli village led to the death of a four-year-old boy, Pravesh, while his parents harvested wheat nearby. A four-year-old boy lost his life when a fire engulfed a thatched hut in Nandrauli village under Gunnaur police station on Wednesday, according to local officials. The tragedy struck while the child's parents were engaged in harvesting wheat nearby.
Ravindra Gautam, Tehsildar of Gunnaur, explained that the boy, identified as Pravesh, was sleeping inside the hut which caught fire, trapping him inside. Despite efforts, Pravesh was burnt to death before any assistance could reach him. His body has been sent for post-mortem and financial aid will be provided to the family in line with government policies.
Station House Officer Rajiv Kumar Malik stated that a police team responded swiftly and is awaiting a formal complaint for further legal proceedings. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered condolences and instructed district officials to advance relief measures promptly and ensure the execution of necessary ex-gratia aid.
