Tragic Well Incident: Man Dies During Cleaning Job

Benny, a 51-year-old from Kunchithanny, tragically died after collapsing while cleaning a well. The incident occurred at a resort in Sengulam. A tragic incident unfolded in Kunchithanny on Thursday when a local man, Benny, aged 51, collapsed and died while cleaning a deep well. Benny, a resident of Kunchithanny, entered the resort's well in Sengulam around 9 am to perform cleaning duties when he experienced breathing difficulties.

Resort authorities promptly notified the Fire and Rescue Services, who arrived at the scene swiftly. Equipped with oxygen support, firefighters ventured into the well, retrieving Benny. Despite rushing him to a government hospital in Adimaly, he was declared dead by 11:25 am.

The Vellathooval police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Preliminary suspicions indicate that diminished oxygen levels within the well may have caused Benny's breathing issues, resulting in this tragic outcome. The body was released to Benny's relatives post-mortem examination.
