Aman Loi, an inmate at Central Jail, passed away on Friday while en route to the hospital due to sudden health complications, according to officials.
Loi, a resident of Ravidas Nagar, Hoshiarpur, was serving a decade-long sentence for gang rape and intimidation. He returned from parole just the day before.
