Delhi Busts International Hydroponic Ganja Syndicate

Delhi Police arrested three individuals involved in an international drug syndicate associated with Thailand, seizing over 1 kg of hydroponic ganja valued at Rs 25 lakh. The operation, based on a tip-off, uncovered a network linked to a Muzaffarnagar man residing in Bangkok.

Delhi Police have successfully apprehended three individuals and seized more than 1 kg of imported hydroponic ganja valued at over Rs 25 lakh. The operation, which dismantled an interstate and international drug syndicate with ties to Thailand, was announced by officials on Saturday.

The arrests followed a tip-off on April 14, where a police team set a trap near Maulana Azad Medical College. At approximately 4.10 am, two men on a motorcycle and a third on a scooter were caught allegedly exchanging contraband for cash. The accused, identified as Faizan Rizwi, Riyazuddin, and Nadeem Beg, were detained at the scene.

Authorities recovered 1,030.5 grams of hydroponic ganja and Rs 4 lakh in cash intended for further drug deals. Investigations revealed the ganja was sourced from Thailand, managed by a Muzaffarnagar-based man now residing in Bangkok. Efforts continue to identify additional syndicate members.
