As tensions rose, locals accused the polling booth under Dubrajpur Assembly constituency of registering votes intended for the TMC as BJP votes. The situation worsened when a heated exchange occurred between polling officials and voters.
Protests turned violent, necessitating intervention from central security forces, who faced stone-pelting before restoring order. Voting resumed amid heightened security, ensuring the election process continued smoothly.
