Amritpal Singh, the 'Waris Punjab De' chief and Punjab MP, has been remanded back to judicial custody amid ongoing legal proceedings related to the Ajnala police station attack case. On Saturday, he was transferred to Dibrugarh Central Jail following a court order, marking the continuation of his complex legal battles.

Singh was initially arrested on April 23, after his detention under the National Security Act expired. In addition to the Ajnala case, he faces allegations of unauthorized possession of electronic devices recovered from his jail cell. These include a spy camera pen and a smartphone, leading to another ongoing trial.

Amritpal's legal challenges are compounded by multiple cases across Punjab involving violence and intimidation, including being named as the main conspirator in a murder case. His political career, marked by winning a Lok Sabha seat while jailed, is overshadowed by continued law and order concerns.
