Nuh police apprehended a wanted criminal, Rahees, following a tense encounter near a village in the early hours of Saturday. During the exchange of gunfire, both Rahees and a police constable suffered leg injuries. Authorities recovered an illegal pistol and cartridges at the scene, highlighting the volatile nature of the confrontation.

Rahees, a notorious history-sheeter, has been implicated in nearly 20 serious offenses, ranging from robbery to murder, across Haryana and Rajasthan. Punhana DSP Dinesh Yadav reported that the incident commenced around 3:25 am when Rahees initiated gunfire upon spotting the police team.

Constable Gautam was wounded in the gunfire, and as Rahees attempted to flee, he was subsequently shot in the leg and caught by the police. Currently hospitalized, Rahees awaits questioning post-treatment. His arrest is a pivotal development for the Bichhor police station team as they continue their efforts to dismantle criminal networks.
