Online Betting Racket Busted During IPL Matches
Two individuals were arrested for operating an online betting racket during IPL matches, with transactions over Rs 8 crore detected. Police seized mobile phones, cash, and linked bank accounts. A third individual is believed to be involved and is currently at large as police investigate further.

In a major crackdown, two individuals have been apprehended for allegedly orchestrating an online betting scheme during the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. The police, acting on reliable intelligence, conducted a raid in Mahendrapuri Colony, resulting in the arrest of Anshuman, 40, and Abhishek Pathak, 31.
According to SP City Preeti Singh, the duo was using the premises to manage bets on various IPL match outcomes such as wickets, runs, and overs. Investigations revealed transactions worth over Rs 8 crore on their mobile devices, with four phones recovered from the scene, alongside cash exceeding Rs 5,000.
The police have frozen approximately Rs 1.80 lakh across nine bank accounts tied to the suspects. The duo's interrogation uncovered a link to a third individual, Ravi Kushwaha, believed to be the mastermind, who remains at large. A case has been registered, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend Kushwaha.
