Tragedy at Bargi Dam: Search Continues for Missing After Boat Disaster

In the aftermath of the Bargi Dam boat tragedy in Madhya Pradesh, rescue operations intensified on Saturday as officials endeavored to locate a man and three children who remain missing. Nine individuals have already lost their lives in the mishap, which occurred two days prior.
Authorities confirmed that 28 out of 41 recognized passengers were safely rescued from the ill-fated cruise boat. The incident unfolded Thursday evening in Jabalpur district, prompting an expansion of the search radius to 5 kilometers across the dam's backwaters.
The search, involving National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, and local divers, faced challenges due to strong winds. Meanwhile, the state government has initiated an inquiry into the incident, dismissing three crew members and halting similar vessel operations amid allegations of negligence.
