In a shocking breach of trust, a home tutor in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar has been arrested for allegedly stealing gold and diamond jewellery from a house where she was employed. The police apprehended the suspect last Friday, recovering all stolen items, including valuable gold and diamond pieces.
Authorities initiated an e-FIR after complaints about missing jewellery, perfume, and other belongings surfaced. Investigations soon led them to a female suspect identified through CCTV footage. The suspect was a tutor working in the complainant’s home. She was tracked down to her residence in Paschim Puri.
During interrogation, the tutor reportedly confessed to the theft, after spotting an unlocked almirah at her place of work. Among the stolen items were six gold chains, a gold mangalsutra, a gold necklace with earrings, and diamond-studded jewelry. The police have seized the recovered items and are continuing their investigation.
