Bihar Leads in Census 2027 Self-Enumeration: A Milestone Achievement

Nearly 47 lakh individuals in Bihar have completed self-enumeration for Census 2027, with Madhubani district leading. The verification process is set to follow, aiming to correct discrepancies and assign numbers to houses, ensuring data quality. The public is cautioned against cyber fraud during this process.

In a significant milestone for Census 2027, around 47 lakh residents of Bihar have successfully completed the self-enumeration process, an official reported on Saturday. Madhubani district topped the list with over 5.90 lakh participants, followed closely by Vaishali and Darbhanga.

The Census Director, Ranjita, expressed gratitude to the people of Bihar for their participation, labeling it as an exemplary contribution to this essential national task. Starting on Saturday, enumerators and supervisors will begin verifying digital house boundary maps created on the CMMS portal.

This verification aims to correct any discrepancies found, ensuring accurate data collection. The Census operations also include assigning numbers to homes and gathering detailed housing, assets, and amenities data. Public vigilance against cyber fraud is urged, with assurances that census workers will not ask for sensitive personal information.
