The Madhya Pradesh government has announced a sweeping reshuffle involving 62 IPS officers, including changes for 19 police superintendents. The strategic move includes new roles spanning additional director general to deputy commissioner levels.
The decision, released early Sunday by the state's home department, follows a significant Rs 15 crore bank heist. Among the notable transfers, Manish Khatri, previously Singrauli SP, will now serve as assistant inspector general at police headquarters in Bhopal.
Furthermore, Sunil Mehta, formerly Seoni SP, has been appointed as DCP Indore amid ongoing probes into a hawala racket. The reshuffle encompasses transfers across numerous districts such as Bhind, Shivpuri, and Rewa, with some officers receiving promotions to the DIG rank, marking a comprehensive overhaul of the police leadership in the state.
