Udhampur Police have taken decisive action by attaching an immovable property valued at Rs 40 lakh, linked to Rafiq Ahmed, a suspected drug peddler. This measure comes as part of an ongoing investigation concerning illicit narcotics activities.
Authorities revealed that the residence, located in Jammu's Sainik Colony, was acquired through the proceeds of illegal narcotics trade. Rafiq Ahmed, the son of Abdul Karim, is at the center of these allegations.
The operation was conducted in accordance with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as registered at the Rehambal police station. Police assert that stringent measures like these are essential in curbing the illegal drug trade in the region.
