Breakthrough in Kabaddi Murder Case: Shooter Arrested

In a significant development, Punjab Police has successfully arrested Aditya alias Makhan, suspected to be involved in the high-profile murder of kabaddi promoter Kanwar Digvijay Singh, also known as Rana Balachauria. This arrest was made in Agartala, Tripura.
Rana Balachauria was tragically shot during a kabaddi tournament in Mohali on December 15, 2025. The Punjab Police's Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in collaboration with central agencies and Tripura Police, executed the arrest, as confirmed by DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The accused reportedly acted under the direction of foreign-based handlers and had been evading capture until now. With this arrest, law enforcement agencies have made significant progress in the ongoing battle against organized crime networks.
