The Delhi Police have successfully apprehended a 26-year-old suspect linked to a serious ATM heist in East Delhi's Mandawali area. The man, known as Robin, hails from Haryana's Palwal and was cornered in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, noted a police official on Monday.

Officials revealed that Robin is part of an interstate gang of ATM cutters orchestrated by a figure named Imran Mewati. This latest incident traces back to the night of April 29, when an ATM in Vinod Nagar belonging to a private bank was vandalized. The culprits utilized a gas cutter to breach the machine, looting Rs 19.32 lakh in cash.

After receiving a formal complaint, Delhi Police initiated a thorough investigation, employing CCTV analysis which implicated suspects from Palwal. Despite extended evasion efforts, a tip-off allowed a trap to be set in Bharatpur, resulting in Robin's capture and partial cash recovery. Under interrogation, Robin admitted his role, influenced by promises of monetary gains from the notorious Imran, who is suspected in over 25 similar offenses spanning multiple states. The hunt continues for the remaining gang members.
