Survivor Challenges Authority's Actions on Bargi Dam Boat Tragedy

A survivor of the tragic Bargi Dam boat accident in Madhya Pradesh has raised concerns over the dismantling of the salvaged vessel. The tragedy, which took place on April 30, claimed 13 lives, sparking allegations of negligence in examining the boat’s safety conditions.
Bargi City Superintendent of Police Anjul Ayank Mishra explained that the teams from SDRF and NDRF cut the vessel to ensure no individuals were trapped inside. However, a technical team retrieved the engine separately for examination.
Advocate Roshan Anand Kori, who survived with nine family members, insisted the boat was intact when retrieved and required a detailed inspection of its engine and structure. The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a probe and banned similar vessels.
