Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav spearheaded the foundation laying for the Indore-Pithampur economic corridor, aiming to attract Rs 1 lakh crore in investments. This ambitious project links with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, national highways, and other transport hubs to enhance logistics and industrial production.

During a ceremony in Nainod village, Yadav emphasized the corridor as a significant step toward the state's economic empowerment. The initiative includes developing 48 new industrial parks and six expressways, with projects amounting to over Rs 9 lakh crore already materialized under his government.

The economic corridor, costing approximately Rs 2,365 crore, features a 20-km road in its first phase, expecting to generate employment for six lakh people. Spanning approximately 1,316 hectares, the project will see controlled development, including industrial, commercial, and residential hubs.
