Maharashtra OSD Faces Attempted Murder Charges

The incident occurred when his wife questioned him about phone chats. The officer, stationed at the state secretariat, faces multiple charges including attempted murder.

A senior government officer, appointed as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for a Maharashtra cabinet minister, is facing serious charges including attempted murder and assault on his family members, according to the police.
The charges were filed after the officer’s wife lodged a complaint at the Koregaon Park police station. The incident reportedly took place at their home in Pune, when an argument over phone chat raised tensions.
Following an escalation in the dispute, the officer is alleged to have violently attacked both his wife and son before they managed to escape to Ahilyanagar. The accused is currently serving on deputation at the Mantralaya in Mumbai.
