Demolition of Drug Peddler's Illegally Constructed House Highlights Anti-Drug Campaign

A law enforcement operation resulted in the demolition of an illegally constructed house belonging to a drug peddler in Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital. This was disclosed by a police spokesperson on Wednesday.
The operation was carried out in the Palpora Noorbagh area as part of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan. The demolished house belonged to Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, who had unlawfully built on government land, according to officers.
Further investigations have tied Sheikh to numerous drug-related offenses, and officials say his close associates and family members are also implicated in various narcotics cases across the region.
