Explosive Tensions: Blasts Shake Punjab, Raise Alarms

Panic ensued in Punjab following two explosive incidents near security zones, sparking a political storm. Jalandhar's blast, around 8 pm outside the BSF headquarters, ripped through a scooter, with the Khalistan Liberation Front claiming responsibility. Later, at 11 pm, an explosion near Amritsar's army cantonment, suspected to involve Pakistan's ISI, further alarmed authorities, though no injuries were reported.

Local police quickly responded to both scenes, initiating forensic investigations to determine the perpetrators. CCTV footage captured the dramatic moments, with villagers describing loud noises that woke them abruptly. The pieces of evidence collected are under thorough review as both army and police officials cordoned off the sites for security purposes.

High-ranking officials, including Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, speculated that the Amritsar explosion might be part of a disruptive agenda linked to Operation Sindoor's anniversary. In the political arena, opposition members, particularly from Shiromani Akali Dal and Punjab Congress, vehemently criticized the AAP government for what they deem as intelligence lapses, demanding accountability and swift action to restore order and public confidence.
