A young resident of Greater Noida's Sakipur village lost his life in a violent confrontation over a local waste-burning dispute, police reported on Wednesday.
The victim, Sajan Bhati, 25, sustained fatal gunshot wounds allegedly inflicted by his neighbor, Mangesh, after tensions escalated late Tuesday night. Bhati succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital, authorities confirmed.
Following a swift police response, the primary suspect was detained post-encounter after exchanging gunfire with officers. An investigation remains ongoing to apprehend an accomplice still at large.
