The Uttarakhand High Court has served a contempt notice to Rajesh Shukla, ex-MLA from Kichha, for allegedly making remarks that challenge the judiciary's integrity concerning delayed municipal elections.
Acting through Udham Singh Nagar's district magistrate, Justice Rakesh Thapliyal initiated this move after reviewing video and pamphlets purportedly distributed by Shukla that suggested a potential withdrawal of the case due to frequent adjournments.
