Lucknow lawyer shoots himself dead at home
A 40-year-old lawyer died allegedly after shooting himself at his residence in the Aliganj area of Lucknow, police said on Friday. The caller, identified as Shalini Singh, informed police that her brother, Shailendra Pratap Singh, had allegedly shot himself at their residence in Sector-G of Aliganj locality.

A 40-year-old lawyer died allegedly after shooting himself at his residence in the Aliganj area of Lucknow, police said on Friday. According to a statement issued by Lucknow Police, information about the incident was received through Dial-112 around 10.35 pm on Thursday. The caller, identified as Shalini Singh, informed police that her brother, Shailendra Pratap Singh, had allegedly shot himself at their residence in Sector-G of Aliganj locality. Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. Family members rushed Shailendra Pratap Singh to the Trauma Centre in an ambulance, where doctors declared him dead, police said. Station House Officer of Aliganj police station along with police personnel remained present at the spot, the statement said. Police said necessary legal proceedings are being carried out and the matter is being investigated thoroughly.
