Mamraj, a resident of the Tipri Bisht area in Chinyalisaur, died at the spot. He was currently posted as an Assistant Industries Officer in Kandisaur, located in the Tehri Garhwal district.

The police stated that the driver of the pickup truck, Rohit, also sustained injuries in the accident and has been arrested. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver fell asleep while driving, which led to the accident, the police said.
